Pavitra Punia is an actress and a model from India. She was born on 27 April 1987 in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Gained popularity from reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla (2009) and Big Boss Season 14(2014), and she was on the list of top three finalists. The show Love You Zindagi was her biggest career achievement in a lead role. She played the famous character of Geet Dhillon in this Star plus show, and later she also played the role of an evil queen character named Timnasa in the Sony SAB's fantasy series BaalVeer Returns.

Career

Pavitra Punia, also known as Neha Singhat her hometown where she was born. She came to Mumbai to try her luck in Bollywood. In the year 2010, she made her acting debut in the show Geet- Huyi Sabse Paraai, in which she played the role of Dalljiet. After earning fame from her debut show, she got the very first lead role in the show Love You Zindagi with co-actor Sidharth Shukla. Later, she was also a part of Welcome- Baazi Mehman Nawazi Kiof Life ok's reality show.

Mayer: Architect who brought order into unruly urban landscape

CHANDIGARH: This time last year, I found myself in Columbus Circle in New York. The purpose of my trip was to visit a building intimately connected to the life and work of Albert Mayer, an American architect-planner, who had a deep, though largely unrecognised, connection with India. He spent 15 years of his life in working on plans for the development and renewal of several Indian cities.In addition, he worked on projects for the creation of model villages. I was particularly interested in his life and work owing to his role in the creation of Chandigarh, India's first large experiment in urban planning.
Mayer was educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During World War II, he was an engineer working for the US Army and was assigned projects for building airfields in India. He found himself enamoured of India's culture and later involved himself with working on plans for the modernisation of several Indian villages. His pilot development project in rural Etawah was repeated throughout rural India and Mayer was appointed planning advisor to the Uttar Pradesh government in 1947.
